ARAGON ROUND | PREVIEW

ARAGON ROUND | SATURDAY
May 30, 2026
The Friday of the Aragón Round ended with encouraging indications for the team, despite the extremely demanding conditions faced by the riders on the Spanish circuit. With track temperatures exceeding 53°C in the afternoon, physical management played a key role in the work carried out on track.
An important day for Álvaro Bautista, eleventh in the combined standings with a 1:49.916, at the end of a Friday that represented above all a physical test following the Most weekend. The Spanish rider, declared fit after the medical checks following FP1, worked consistently across both sessions.
As the laps went by, Bautista focused mainly on regaining feeling with the bike and adapting his riding to both his physical condition and the track demands, managing to complete an intense workload despite pain in his foot and increasing fatigue in the final part of the day.

ALVARO BAUTISTA
“It was a difficult day, but overall a positive one. The most important thing was being able to ride consistently and regain sensations that were essential after the Most weekend. In the morning, my foot gradually improved, while in the afternoon the pain was less noticeable. Only at the end, with accumulated fatigue, did things become a bit more complicated. Despite that, I’m happy to have completed many laps, because it was important to get back into rhythm and confidence. The track, especially in the second session, was particularly difficult, but we managed the situation well and understood how to adapt the riding to the conditions. We’ll see how my foot reacts tomorrow morning, because such an effort will inevitably be felt. In any case, I can say I’m very satisfied, honestly, I didn’t expect to be here this weekend, and completing so many laps is definitely a positive sign.”
